From 79 countries and around 10,000 craftsmen, Artists and designers have applied for Cheongju International Craft Competition since 1999.

Throughout the theme, "Hands+: Coexistence & Expansion", the 9Th Cheongju International Craft Competition would be a platform which enlarges the concept of contemporary craft with fresh interpretations and challenging works.

Genres

Metalwork, ceramics, woodwork, textiles, glasswork, etc., as well as works that inventively and experimentally employ various natural or artificial materials to create two- or three-dimensional works which embody the contemporary craft art values of functionality and aesthetics
Works must have been produced within the past three years and must not have been previously exhibited elsewhere

Eligibility Open to individuals of all nationalities and genders; both individual and group (maximum three people) entries are welcome
Number of works Up to two works per person or group
Size No more than 200cm x 200cm x 200cm

Entry Period 1st period of submission : 2015. 6. 21 – 7. 5 (15day)
2nd period of submission : Domestic 2015. 8. 13 - 16(4day)
2nd period of submission : International 2015. 8. 1 – 16 (16day)
Prizes Grand Prize : 1 (KRW 50,000,000)
Gold Prize : 2 (KRW 20,000,000)
Silver Prize : 3 (KRW 10,000,000)
Bronze Prize : 5 (KRW 5,000,000)
Special Citation
Honorable Mention : 10-20% out of the whole submissions
